Our Flyer Designer
Inge
Who are you? Inge, aka Cyanide. I design the flyers for DN, and modify them for the shirt designs as well.
What do you do outside of DN? I’m a full time senior graphic designer, also recently started doing some private work, including flyers, logos, etc.
Why DN? I have been given a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a club that I think holds huge potential for the future, and I am happy to be part of that.
Pet Peeves? Dishonesty, back stabbing, childishness, copy cats, laziness, ppl who don?t finish things they’ve started, and TRAFFIC.
What I like to listen to? Phew, so many, depends on mood really, but some favourite bands are: Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Samuel, Rammstein, Theatres des Vampires, Enomine, Velvet Acid Christ, Blutengel, Type o Negative, Pain, Gothminister, Death Stars, Umbra et Imago, Das Ich, Wolfsheim, Diary of Dreams, Covenant, and from time to time Depeche Mode.

Our Dungeon Master
Nick
Who are you? Savant Martinet. The words have their roots in old English; they come from a time when I was part of a professional BDSM trio and all of us took names with the initials SM.
What is your role in the S&M show? I have a very strong sexually-dominant streak which comes out 90% of the time, but I occasionally enjoy submitting to a woman who is skilled and knows what she’s doing. The performers (all four of us) are good friends. Because there’s that element of trust, none of us have a problem switching spontaneously between dominant and submissive roles.
What got you involved in the BDSM scene? I first got involved in BDSM in 1999, through wanting to explore the dark facets of myself. I love dressing to occasion, I love the change in character that comes over me when Im dressed in leather or rubber, I love the opportunities to explore passion that fetish, domination and submission bring with them.
Whats your favourite ‘weapon’ of choice? My hands. I’ve used every single weapon of choice that exists over the years, but I find myself constantly returning to the basics like a lady over my knee with her skirt up, spanking her bare-handed. Its so much more intimate when theres no physical object between me and the person I’m playing with.
Why D_N? I don’t affiliate myself with any particular lifestyle Im not a Goth, Metalhead or BDSMer and I dislike pigeonhole definitions. I come to the Dark Noise parties because I feel comfortable in that space: I like the eclectic mix of people I meet. Aside from the BDSM shows, its primarily a social occasion for me. Ive met many people at the parties who became close friends.
Pet Peeves? Clique behaviour – people who come into any lifestyle or subculture as though theyve founded a new religion, or who try to force their opinions and viewpoints on others. I also strongly dislike the opposite obsequious sheep who try to disguise their emotional issues or lack of originality by hiding behind alcohol or obnoxious behaviour.
What music do you like? My favourite music spans fifteen or sixteen different genres anything from classical, a few operas, musicals, acoustic rock, hard rock and acid rock to concept albums, jazz, new age, house or world music.I frequently listen to stuff most people have forgotten, or have simply never heard of. I dont have any particular preference for electro, industrial or EBM but Ill listen to them occasionally.I attach no political distinctions to the music I listen to. If I hear something and it pulls at my heartstrings, Ill listen to it again. Simple as that.
